Terms of Service

By using RetroRecomped ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What the app is

RetroRecomped (formerly Gen2Recomp) is a free, unofficial fan project by UNDERdecodedHD. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc. or The Pokémon Company. Pokémon and all related names are trademarks of their respective owners.

2. Your games

The app does not include any game. It only works with ROM files you import yourself. You are responsible for making sure you have the legal right to use those files, for example backups of cartridges you own. Do not use the app with copies you are not entitled to.

3. License

The app is provided free under the license published with its source code. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes as that license allows. You may not sell the app or distribute modified versions except as that license permits.

4. Cloud saves

If you connect Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, the app stores your save files in your own cloud storage. Your use of those services is also covered by Google's and Microsoft's own terms. Keep your own backups of saves you care about. The app keeps backups when it syncs, but cannot guarantee against loss.

5. Online features

Link play, mod downloads and other online features are provided as they are and may change, stop working or be withdrawn at any time. Do not use them to harass other players, to cheat others out of something, or to interfere with the service. Mods are made by third parties; install them at your own risk.

6. No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Use it at your own risk.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, UNDERdecodedHD is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or any loss of data or saves, arising from your use of the app.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
